[Houston] Alumni association annual meeting and picnic a big success

Dear HUST Alumni,
We just had a wonderful picnic party in Bear Creek Park. The weather was so comfortable, and the foods were delicious! It is exciting to see old friends and new faces. We appreciate these alumni who came, and hope more can join us next time!
There are total 13 new members joining us this time, some of them just came from China, and some of them moved in Houston from other cities, it is HUSTAA that bring us together. We welcome our new friends!
During the party, everyone was impressed by the delicious foods that are absolutely home-made. Jiahuang brought an oven and organic SI GUA, Peiheng, Chaohui and Liping showed their cooking skills, it is really special; Yiming Zhang took the charge for foods preparation, and his wife was recognized as our best chef (We will all remember that 100 MIAN JING PAO ROU YUAN). Thanks to the following people who made other foods. Jizhong/Hai, Tao; Liang, Yulong; Liu, Yongjian; Dong, Hua; Sha, Jian/Lu, Muping; Yu, Audry; Zhu,Peiheng; Shi, Xiaomei; Zhang, Yi, and Cai, Yidao. Besides, as usual, we always have many volunteers who helped at the site. This is our chemistry, HUSTAA’s chemistry which is very precious.
After selection, Jizhong Cheng was selected as President and Xiaomei Shi as President-Elect. There are also 7 people were selected to join the current board, they are: Zhanke Liu, Keyu He, Wenping Zhao, Shen Wei, Wenhua Guo, Zhuang Luo, Liping Gong. Finally, I want to represent our alumni to give a special thanks to Yidao Cai, our last president, who did a huge amount of works to tie us together!

Also, we collected $465.88 donation for Xu Yan's family from 25 alumni. The money was wire transferred to Hong Kong on Oct. 29.
